Terms of use

Terms of use

Last updated June 2026.

The short version

The Bill to Law Game is a free educational game. You're welcome to play it, and to use it in classrooms and homeschools, at no cost. It's a simulation built to teach how legislatures generally work, provided as-is, and not a substitute for legal, civic, or professional advice. The legislature, legislators, and bills in the game are fictional.

Using The Bill to Law Game

  • Play it, share a link to it, and use it in lessons, freely and at no charge.
  • Please don't resell it, charge for access to it, or present it as your own work.
  • Please don't try to disrupt, attack, overload, or misuse the site or the people using it.

Educational content, not advice

The game models a fictional American state legislature. Real procedures differ by chamber and jurisdiction, and the game simplifies and dramatizes for teaching. Nothing here is legal, civic, or professional advice, and it shouldn't be relied on as a statement of how any specific real legislature operates.

No warranty

The Bill to Law Game is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that it will be error-free, accurate in every detail, or available without interruption. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any loss arising from your use of the game or the site, including, since saves live only in your browser, a lost or cleared run.

Content and attribution

The game, its writing, and its design belong to the project and are an independent civics work, not affiliated with any government body, party, or advocacy organization. You're welcome to link to it and use it in teaching with attribution.

Changes

We may update these terms as the project evolves. When we do, we'll update this page and the "last updated" date above.
